Introducing Hairietta Hairison a modern day Pollyanna with the locks of Rapunzel. I wrote this story for my granddaughter who has Alopecia. (simply put the hair follicles are attacked and baldness can occur) I have seven granddaughters and I want all of them to have a Hairietta attitude. While getting this book ready I had three friends diagnosed with breast cancer they all went through their own hair-oic challenges. We all have a hair story and for sure a bad hair day. This book appeals to the ages of 3-101. It’s a little girlie but when my grandsons read it they laughed their hair off..(just kidding). This is my second childrens story that has made it to publication. The Journey to get this far isn’t always easy but Hairiettas message made it well worth it.
Here's a little sample from the book!

Illustrations are by Shawn Zumbrunnen, an insightful talented artist, gifted musician and supportive son who thank goodness is susceptible to bribery.
The graphic design and scrap booking was accomplished by my own personal computer guru, web page designer, polka dot specialist, daughter in-law and friend Michelle Zumbrunnen. Her eye for color, her patience and kindness helped me immensely with this endeavor.
I have been writing stories using my friends and family’s real life dramas for over 37 years, always with a happy ending. On a rainy day you can find me holed up in any book store off the beaten track or on the main drag surrounded by childrens books. I believe that the best place in any book store is the childrens section, it’s #5 on my top ten list of things that make me happy. Hairietta knows how to be happy, I hope you’ll join her as she shouts for glee. Remember seven, or forty one hundred and one you’re the girl in charge now go have fun.
Happily ever after yours…..
